Who I am
I
have been coaching since 2006, practicing yoga for over 14
years and teaching high school 20+ years . My coaching, yoga classes
and teaching have always been more about connection over correction, insight over instruction.
The word educate originates with the latin root e-ducere, meaning "to draw out". Originally it was a midwife's term meaning "to be present at the birth of." I can't think of a better description for what I do, no matter what form it takes: life coaching, teaching high school psychology or leading a yoga class.
What I do
I have a gift for cutting through self-help overwhelm, information overload and "should" thinking to connect people back to their essence such that their core qualities of love, creativity, imagination and authenticity are reawakened and lived effortlessly.
My clients and students appreciate the way I re-member them to their own essential nature which leads them to fresh perspectives on areas of their life where they have become stagnant. I love my clients and students and they tell me they can feel it.
I work with women and through their differences what all of them have in common - whether they’re working as stay-at home moms, executives, entrepreneurs or teachers - is the desire to realize their potential and lead more meaningful lives.
My Expertise
My years of deep study combined with my lived experience result in a potent feminine, intuitive wisdom that informs all my coaching and teaching.
Alongside my formal studies in psychology, coaching, yoga and education, my life has been my teacher. As a child, I lost my mother and as a woman, I lost my child who was stillborn. I have been on the brink of divorce but went on to build a marriage better than I thought it could be. These experiences took me into my own depths, grounding my practice in my own personal growth and self-realization.
What I believe
I am devoted to creating a world powered by love and compassion.
I believe in expression, not repression.
I believe in imagination, not obligation
I believe in grace, not guilt.
I believe in rituals, not restrictions.
I believe in devotion, not deprivation.
Am I for You?
Life is more like a poem than a sport. I like to think of myself as a life poet rather than a life coach.
I listen souls into life.
I love shadows into light.
I learn your unspoken languages.
If you dislike exploring your depths, I'm not the coach for you.
If you want someone to hold your hand while you check items off a to-do list, I'm not the coach for you.
If you are intrigued by the idea of inner-sourced movement and growth, if you are interested in allowing your life to unfold by listening to your deep hunger, if you are tired of beating yourself up and strip-mining your soul, if you are interested in composing a beautiful life - I may be the coach you are looking for.
I am not a coach who will supply you with answers. Instead I am deeply interested in discovering that within you which longs to be known. From that place you will uncover your own answers. If this sounds like the experience you're looking for, I'd love to hear from you. Send a note to [email protected] and we can set up a time to chat and see if my coaching approach would be a good fit for you.
